Soccer Game Preview: Overlake vs. King's Way Christian

The Overlake Owls will square off against the King's Way Christian Knights at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.

Overlake is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Washington's top teams: University Prep, who was ranked 14th at the time (Overlake was ranked 21st). The Owls fell just short of the Pumas by a score of 2-1 last Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty six goals in the game before, Overlake couldn't push the score so high this time.

Meanwhile, King's Way Christian had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They skirted past Klahowya 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for King's Way Christian.

Asher Wyckoff and Colin Hermes scored both of King's Way Christian's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 15 goals.

Having lost for the first time this season, Overlake fell to 9-1-3. As for King's Way Christian, their win bumped their record up to 15-5-2.
