Basketball Recap: Sage Ridge Find Success

Sage Ridge's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They managed a 53-47 win over the EnCompass Academy Explorers. The victory continues a trend for the Scorpions in their matchups with the Explorers: they've now won three in a row.

Taylor Sullins was a one-man wrecking crew as he dropped a double-double with 27 points and 19 boards. Those 19 rebounds gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Adrian Cheung, who posted eight points and five boards.

Sage Ridge's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for enCompass Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Sage Ridge will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Explorers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
