Softball Recap: Woods Cross Wildcats vs. Viewmont Vikings        
        
		
            
 Woods Cross was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight  defeat. They lost  16-3 to the Viewmont Vikings. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Woods Cross of the  19-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  two weeks ago.
 Woods Cross saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Natalie Wall, who  went 1-for-2 with two  RBI.
 On Viewmont's side,  Molly Roberts was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out six batters over  five innings while giving up  three earned runs off   four  hits (and only one walk). Roberts was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 4-for-5 with three  runs, a  triple,  and  an  RBI.
 In other batting news, Viewmont got a  massive  performance out of  Kennedy Embrey, who  went 3-for-4 with two  stolen bases, four  RBI,  and two  runs. Another player making a difference was  Marlee Moser, who  went 2-for-3 with four  RBI, a  run,  and a  double.
 Woods Cross' defeat dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Viewmont, their victory  ended  a  four-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 7-12.
 Woods Cross will look to defend their home field  on Wednesday against East at 3:30  p.m. East is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12.5  runs per game  this season. As for Viewmont, they will head out on the road to  face off against  Roy at 3:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Viewmont will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more  runs each  game than the last.
