Baseball Game Preview: Stratton Eagles vs. Burlington Cougars

Stratton hasn't had much luck against Burlington recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Cougars at 4:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

On Tuesday, Stratton came up short against Granada and fell 7-2.

Keegan Isenbart was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Dillon Brent, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Burlington also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Lamar by a score of 6-1.

Stratton's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Burlington, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.

Stratton couldn't quite finish off Burlington in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 and fell 8-6. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
