La Conner managed to keep up with Orcas Island until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Braves lost 8-0 to the Vikings. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, La Conner's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

La Conner's loss dropped their record down to 1-3-1. As for Orcas Island, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0-1.
