Basketball Recap: Sultan Comes Up Short

Sultan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 60-52 to the Evergreen Wolverines. The Turks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolverines apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2022.

Sultan's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Evergreen, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sultan won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Monroe at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Evergreen, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll challenge Inglemoor at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Inglemoor is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63 points per game this season.
