Softball Game Preview: Brooks Eagles vs. Kenwood Broncos

The Brooks Eagles will challenge the Kenwood Broncos at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Brooks will be strutting in after a victory while Kenwood will be coming in after a defeat.

Kenwood will be up against a hot Brooks squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Everything went the Eagles' way against Kelly on Tuesday as they made off with a 13-3 win. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by ten runs or more this season.

Kennedy hit Kenwood with a four-run first inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Broncos fell 7-2 to the Crusaders. The Broncos have struggled against the Crusaders recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Brooks pushed their record up to 5-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Kenwood, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.

Brooks took their victory against Kenwood in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 29-19 score. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Broncos have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
