Baseball Game Preview: Piqua Indians vs. Butler Aviators

For the second straight game, Piqua will face off against Butler. The Indians will host the Aviators at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.

Butler hit Piqua with a seven-run first inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Indians lost 11-1 to the Aviators. The defeat continues a trend for the Indians in their meetings with the Aviators: they've now lost four in a row.

Piqua saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Owen Shawler, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

The win keeps Butler at an undefeated 14-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average this season. As for Piqua, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8.
