Soccer Recap: Hempstead Takes a Loss

Hempstead was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 4-1 to the New Waverly Bulldogs. The Bobcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Hempstead's goal came courtesy of Ivan Alvarez, which was the first he's scored this season.

Hempstead's loss dropped their record down to 2-5-1. As for New Waverly, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1-1.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Hempstead challenge the Sealy at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for New Waverly, they will square off against Royal at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Royal will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each game than the last.
