Covenant Christian is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Gulf Pointe Latin on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Covenant Christian was outmatched by Gulf Pointe Latin and fell 64-36. Covenant Christian was down 51-31 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Meanwhile, Port St. Joe got the win against Wakulla on Friday by a conclusive 70-45. The Tiger Sharks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 24 points or more this season.

Port St. Joe found their leader in sophomore Zay Jenkins, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 14 assists. The dominant performance gave Jenkins a new career-high in assists. Another player making a difference was Jd Becton, who went 5 of 8 en route to 11 points and five rebounds.

Port St. Joe's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Covenant Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.
