Newport Central Catholic had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bellevue Tigers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Thoroughbreds also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

Newport Central Catholic not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Bellevue between 17 and 19 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-18, 25-19.

Miley Wolf paced Newport Central Catholic's offense, picking up 11 kills. Wolf got some help from Hailey Ryan and her 23 assists. Piperlyn Kramer controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Newport Central Catholic now has a winning record of 16-15. As for Bellevue, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.
