Volleyball Recap: Monmouth United Red Storm vs. Princeton Tigers
Monmouth United was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Princeton Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Red Storm of the 2-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.
While Monmouth United had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-19.
Princeton can attribute much of their success to Camryn Driscoll, who had nine digs and two aces.
Monmouth United's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Princeton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-11.
Monmouth United wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Non Varsity Opponent on the 5th. Princeton has also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Orion on the 5th.
