Volleyball Recap: Cypress Christian Comes Up Short

Cypress Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Lake Highlands Wildcats.

SADE FAYELE paced Cypress Christian's offense, picking up three kills. FAYELE got some help from LILAH JOHNSON and her four assists. Finally, CONNIE QUAGLIA kept Cypress Christian's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lake Highlands to victory, but perhaps none more so than Carrigan Anderly, who had 13 assists and four digs. Brylie Woodbury was another key player, getting ten digs.

Cypress Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Lake Highlands, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Cypress Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Union on the 29th. As for Lake Highlands, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Elizabethtown on the 29th.
