Volleyball Recap: Tate Has No Trouble Against Pine Forest

Tate won the last time they faced Pine Forest and things went their way on Thursday too. The Aggies blew past the Eagles 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Aggies.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Tate took every set by at least 19 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-4, 25-6, 25-1.

Torrie Garrett paced Tate's offense, picking up 15 kills. Garrett got some help from Bailie Merritt and her 26 assists. Merritt was also solid from the service line: she led the team with nine aces.

Tate's record now sits at 4-1. As for Pine Forest, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Tate will face off against Booker T. Washington at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pine Forest, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Escambia at 5:30 p.m. on September 10.
