Volleyball Recap: Bella Vista Takes a Loss

Bella Vista was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the El Capitan Gauchos.

Phoenix Thompson paced Bella Vista's offense, picking up six kills. Thompson got some help from Zach Corpus and his eight assists.

Bella Vista's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for El Capitan, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season.

Bella Vista didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Center on the 22nd. As for El Capitan, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Christian Brothers on the 22nd.
