Baseball Recap: Sarasota Christian Takes a Loss

If Sarasota Christian was feeling good fresh off their 12-0 takedown of The Classical Academy of Sarasota last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Blazers came up short against the Cambridge Christian Lancers on Friday, falling 16-3. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Lancers this season, with their most recent defeat being a 9-4 loss back in March.

Sarasota Christian saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Justin Brock, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Sarasota Christian's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-6. As for Cambridge Christian, they pushed their record up to 13-8 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Sarasota Christian will host Saint Stephen's Episcopal at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cambridge Christian, they will take on Tampa Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
