Iola-Scandinavia had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Ripon Tigers. For the Thunderbirds, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 win the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Maggie Maus paced Iola-Scandinavia's offense, picking up ten kills. Maus got some help from Emma Printz and her nine assists. Maus was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Iola-Scandinavia's victory bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Ripon, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season.

Iola-Scandinavia wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Wabeno/Laona on the 20th. As for Ripon, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Clintonville on the 20th.
