Volleyball Recap: Barrow Comes Up Short in High-Profile Matchup with Service

Barrow faced Service in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Whalers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars. The Whalers haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Barrow's loss dropped their record down to 31-11-4. As for Service, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 23-9-3.

Barrow wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Colony on the 25th. As for Service, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against South Anchorage on the 25th.
