Football Game Preview: John Curtis Christian Patriots vs. Holy Cross Tigers

John Curtis Christian is 9-1 against Holy Cross since October of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Patriots will take on the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. John Curtis Christian is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

On Thursday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, John Curtis Christian beat Warren Easton 33-29. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Patriots' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana football rankings (they are ranked third, while the Fighting Eagles are ranked 26th).

John Curtis Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jacobi Boudreaux, who rushed for 177 yards and one TD while picking up 10.4 yards per carry. With that strong performance, Boudreaux is now averaging an impressive 110.2 rushing yards per game. Another rusher making a difference was Gavin Ledet, who rushed for 104 yards and one score on only six carries.

Meanwhile, Holy Cross came up short against Jesuit on Friday and fell 20-12. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Holy Cross' loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for John Curtis Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.

John Curtis Christian beat Holy Cross 13-0 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
