Two dominant signal callers in Elissa Murdock and Brooke Zeller are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The University Christian Christians will host the Santa Fe Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are still undefeated (University Christian has five wins , while Santa Fe has eight dating back to last season).

University Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Murdock, who threw for 196 yards and a pair of TDs. University Christian's leading receiver Abbey Mehm was Murdock's top target yet again, picking up 97 receiving yards and one score.

University Christian didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Carly Keil, MJ Bishop, and Mehm picked up one apiece.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Santa Fe beat Buchholz 18-14 on Thursday.

University Christian better keep an eye on Zeller. She was instrumental in Santa Fe's win, throwing for 245 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 72.7% of her passes, and also rushing for 60 yards and one TD.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Santa Fe's defense and their seven sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Ranilah Smith and Nat Williams, who racked up all seven sacks between them.

University Christian pushed their record up to 5-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 4.5 points on average over those games. As for Santa Fe, their victory bumped their record up to 8-0.
