Softball Recap: Buffalo Grove Takes a Loss

The Buffalo Grove Bison came up short against the Lake Park Lancers on Tuesday, falling 9-2. The Bison have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Buffalo Grove saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sammi Wolverton, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Another was Erin Ryan, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with two stolen bases.

Buffalo Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Lake Park, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Buffalo Grove will face off against Hersey at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The Huskies will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. As for Lake Park, they will square off against Glenbard North at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lancers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 8.9 runs per game this season.
