Softball Game Preview: Dover Pirates vs. Pottsville Apaches

Dover is 0-10 against Pottsville since April of 2016 but things could change on Friday. The Dover Pirates will be playing in front of their home fans against the Pottsville Apaches at 4:30 p.m.

Dover is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game dating back to last season on Thursday. They lost 14-0 to Sylvan Hills.

Meanwhile, Pottsville came into Thursday's contest having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against Russellville by a score of 7-4 on Thursday.

Madison Motley was excellent, going 1-for-2 with three RBI.

The win got Pottsville back to even at 1-1. As for Dover, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Dover couldn't quite finish off Pottsville in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 and fell 8-6. Can Dover avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
