Baseball Recap: West Carroll Takes a Loss

West Carroll fell victim to Galena and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Pirates, falling 10-0. The loss continues a trend for the Thunder in their meetings with the Pirates: they've now lost nine in a row.

West Carroll saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacen Anderson, who went 1-for-2 with one double. That double marked the first that Anderson has hit this season.

West Carroll's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Galena, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-3.

Looking ahead, Galena will take on Lena-Winslow at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Pirates surely won't give up without a fight. West Carroll will be paying especially close attention to Galena's contest: after Galena faces off against Lena-Winslow, they'll take on West Carroll again at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
