Campbell County and Powell are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2016, but not for long. The Cougars are taking a road trip to challenge the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Campbell County is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

Campbell County came up short against Anderson County on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-9, 25-11.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Powell duked it out with Knoxville Central on Tuesday. The Panthers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bobcats. The Panthers have struggled against the Bobcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Powell was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Knoxville Central work for it, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-14, 23-25, 25-20.

Powell's loss dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Campbell County, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11.

Campbell County suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Powell when the teams last played back in September. Can the Cougars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
