Mansfield is a perfect 3-0 against Lakeside since November of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Wolverines will square off against the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Friday.

Lakeside will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Mansfield extended their winning streak to four on Friday. The Wolverines blew past Winnfield 56-32. The Wolverines' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

It was another big night for Terrell Pegues, who rushed for 174 yards and two scores on only 11 carries, and also caught one touchdown. His longest rush was for an incredible 80 yards. Jaydan Hamilton was another key back, rushing for 112 yards and a pair of TDs on only seven carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Mansfield was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 330 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 159 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Meanwhile, Lakeside took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 66-20 victory over Ringgold. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Redskins: they've now won six in a row.

The victory got Lakeside back to even at 4-4. As for Mansfield, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Everything came up roses for Mansfield against Lakeside in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 50-14 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolverines since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
