Softball Recap: Pawnee Comes Up Short

Pawnee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lincolnwood Lancers. The Indians were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lancers earlier this season, when they won 4-1.

Pawnee's loss dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Lincolnwood, they moved to 11-16 with that victory, which also ended their six-game losing streak.

Pawnee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lincolnwood, they will welcome Greenfield/Northwestern at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lancers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season.
