Softball Recap: Ridge Community Takes a Loss

Ridge Community was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost 17-4 to the Poinciana Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 back in March.

Ridge Community's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Poinciana, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ridge Community will take on Davenport at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bolts' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Broncos have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season. As for Poinciana, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Windermere Prep at 4:30 p.m. on the 15th.
