Basketball Recap: Providence Athletic Club Takes a Loss

Providence Athletic Club played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 100-59 defeat at the hands of the Northside Christian Academy Crusaders. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 59-27.

Providence Athletic Club's loss came despite strong showings from Freeman Bult and Mark Lara. Bult went 10 for 18 on his way to 24 points, while Lara went 8 of 16 en route to 23 points. With that strong performance, Bult is now averaging an impressive 16.4 points per game.

Northside Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Dalton Gadson, who went 8 of 16 on his way to 24 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hilton Dessausure, who went 8 of 14 on his way to 19 points and four steals.

Providence Athletic Club dropped their record down to 4-6 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Northside Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.

Providence Athletic Club will head out to square off against Wardlaw Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Wardlaw Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Northside Christian Academy, they will face off against Ragin Prep Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Northside Christian Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
