Basketball Recap: LaSalle Comes Up Short

LaSalle lost against Lakeview back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The LaSalle Tigers were outmatched by the Lakeview Gators and fell 88-31. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 387th, while the Gators are ranked 49th).

LaSalle has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-18 record this season. As for Lakeview, they pushed their record up to 29-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. LaSalle will host Northwood at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Northwood will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something LaSalle surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lakeview, they will square off against Logansport at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lakeview knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight games -- so hopefully Logansport likes a good challenge.
