Recap: Bishop Lynch Friars vs. Ursuline Academy Bears
The Bishop Lynch Friars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell 51-43 to Ursuline Academy. Bishop Lynch was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Ursuline Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February.
Madelyne Davis was her usual excellent self, scoring 17 points along with 8 assists and 7 rebounds for Ursuline Academy. Another player making a difference was Annabelle Tobin, who scored 13 points.
Bishop Lynch's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Ursuline Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bishop Lynch will face off against Kinkaid at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Kinkaid knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 12 contests -- so hopefully Bishop Lynch likes a good challenge. Ursuline Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Nolan Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on December 8th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Texas (Nolan Catholic is ranked 260th, while Ursuline Academy is ranked 256th).
