Volleyball Game Preview: Nicolet Knights vs. Hartford Orioles + How To Watch

Nicolet hasn't had much luck against Hartford recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Knights are taking a road trip to take on the Orioles at 7:00 p.m. Hartford took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Nicolet, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Nicolet turned things around against Waukesha South on Monday. They blew past the Blackshirts 3-0. The Knights not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since September 4th (when they won 3-0).

The final score came out to 25-9, 25-15, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Hartford didn't have quite enough to beat West Bend West on Thursday and fell 3-2. The Orioles have struggled against the Spartans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Hartford sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 20-25, 25-18, 26-28, 15-6.

Nicolet will need to focus on slowing down Brielle Brandner, one of several Hartford players who made an impact when they last played. She had 22 digs and one assist. Another player making a difference was Shea Perkowski, who had 21 digs and two aces.

Nicolet's victory bumped their record up to 16-9. As for Hartford, their loss dropped their record down to 9-20.

Nicolet couldn't quite get it done against Hartford in their previous matchup back in September of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Knights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
