Volleyball Recap: East Haven Yellowjackets vs. Morgan Huskies
After flying high against Hillhouse last Friday, East Haven came back down to earth. The East Haven Yellowjackets came up short against the Morgan Huskies on Monday, falling 3-0.
East Haven was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Morgan work for it, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-14, 26-24.
Despite the loss, East Haven saw an underclassman step up: Libby Madonna had 15 digs.
East Haven's defeat dropped their record down to 6-19. As for Morgan, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-12.
East Haven does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Morgan, they will head out to challenge Haddam-Killingworth at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Haddam-Killingworth is coming into the match with 11 straight victories at home, so Morgan will have to stop a team with plenty of momentum.
