Softball Recap: Liberty Wins Going Away Against Handley

After only one run in their last match, Liberty made sure to put some runs up on the board against Handley on Tuesday. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over the Judges. Considering the Eagles have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Liberty is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Handley, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Liberty will challenge Millbrook at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles are facing the Pioneers at the right time seeing as the Pioneers are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Handley, they will venture away from home to square off against Skyline at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
