Volleyball Recap: Parkland's Winning Streak Snapped at Eight Games

After a string of eight wins, Parkland's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bishop Shanahan Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trojans of the 3-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-23, 25-13, 24-26, 25-20.

Despite the defeat, Parkland saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Josee Kim had 13 digs and two aces. Kim is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Zoey Leach, who had 12 digs and one assist.

Parkland's loss dropped their record down to 17-7-1. As for Bishop Shanahan, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-2-1 record this season.

Parkland will head out to take on Louis E. Dieruff at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Bishop Shanahan, they will square off against Cardinal O'Hara at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
