Volleyball Recap: Red Rock Starts Season with Victory Against Mayer

Red Rock had to kick off their season on the road on Wednesday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Mayer Wildcats by a score of 3-1. That's more bragging rights for the Scorpions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Red Rock had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-19, 25-13, 25-21.

Looking ahead, Red Rock will welcome BASIS Flagstaff at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mayer, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Mogollon on the 28th.
