Volleyball Recap: Liberty Find Success

After losing to Yucaipa the last time they met, Liberty decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Liberty came out on top against Yucaipa by a score of 2-0 on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bison.

Their offense was headlined by Corey Lozano and Somuandina Igwedinma, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Ashtyn Collier and his nine assists. Finally, Igwedinma was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high six blocks.

Liberty's win bumped their record up to 17-9. As for Yucaipa, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season.

Liberty wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Citrus Valley on the 29th. As for Yucaipa, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 1-0 loss against Aquinas on the 29th.
