Basketball Recap: Kosciusko Picks Up Seventh Consecutive Victory

Kosciusko put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Humphreys County Cowboys by a score of 51-42. This was payback for the Whippets, who suffered a 67-64 loss the last time these two teams met.

Kosciusko's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cory Guyton Jr, who almost dropped a double-double with 21 points and nine rebounds. Guyton Jr's evening made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayes Tyler, who posted eight points along with six boards and three steals.

Humphreys County lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Dexter Williams, who earned nine points. Robert Lee was another key player, putting up nine points.

Kosciusko's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Humphreys County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Kosciusko has already played their next matchup, a 70-67 defeat against Holmes County Central on the 6th. As for Humphreys County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, an 81-60 win against South Delta on the 5th.
