Game recap: Union Grove High School Football Team defeats Bainbridge

MCDONOUGH, Ga. - Union Grove (McDonough, Ga.) captured the lead in the fourth quarter and held on for a 21-14 victory over Bainbridge (Ga.) on Saturday. The Wolverines captured the lead for good when Derrick Craine ran for a touchdown.

The score was knotted at seven heading into the half. The Wolverines took the lead for good on a touchdown run by Craine with 7:00 to go in the fourth quarter.

The loss snapped the Bearcats' 4-game winning streak.

Craine played well for Union Grove in the victory. The senior running back ran for three touchdowns. He has now scored 24 touchdowns on the season.



UG went into the matchup giving up only 7.3 points per game. Bainbridge's 14 points were below its season average of 18.6 per game.

The defeat comes as a step back for Bainbridge, which notched a 49-42 victory over Lee County in its previous outing.
