Volleyball Recap: Wright Takes a Loss

Wright lost against Newcastle last Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Panthers fell just short of the Dogies by a score of 2-1. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jocelyn Umiker paced Wright's offense, picking up 13 kills. Umiker got some help from Emilie Martinez-Reyes and her 20 assists. Dani Barnhurst controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Wright's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Newcastle, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Wright has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Riverton on the 5th. As for Newcastle, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Stevens on the 5th.
