After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Seminole, Mount Dora was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the South Lake Eagles a 3-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Hurricanes, who have now won ten matches by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit South Lake with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Miguel Petit, Jace Moore, and Perez Andy.

Mount Dora's victory bumped their record up to 11-1-1. As for South Lake, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-6-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mount Dora will venture away from home to face off against Tavares at 1:20 p.m. on Friday. As for South Lake, it'll be Battle of the Birds when the South Lake take on the Lake Minneola at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lake Minneola is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.7 goals per game this season.
