Volleyball Recap: Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah Resorters vs. Sevastopol Pioneers
Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah and Sevastopol squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Pioneers by a score of 3-2. If the Resorters were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Pioneers when the teams met back in October of 2015, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Sevastopol a tough time in the fourth set. The final score came out to 14-25, 25-22, 18-25, 30-28, 15-11.
Paige Ganga paced Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah's offense, picking up 25 kills. Ganga got some help from Paige Miller and her 44 assists. Finally, Lily McClurg kept Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah's defense grounded, leading the team with eight blocks.
Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah's loss dropped their record down to 13-19. As for Sevastopol, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-17.
