Volleyball Recap: Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah Comes Up Short

Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah and Sevastopol squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Pioneers by a score of 3-2. If the Resorters were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Pioneers when the teams met back in October of 2015, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Sevastopol a tough time in the fourth set. The final score came out to 14-25, 25-22, 18-25, 30-28, 15-11.

Paige Ganga paced Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah's offense, picking up 25 kills. Ganga got some help from Paige Miller and her 44 assists. Finally, Lily McClurg kept Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah's defense grounded, leading the team with eight blocks.

Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah's loss dropped their record down to 13-19. As for Sevastopol, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-17.

Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sevastopol, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Valley Christian on the 25th.
