Eagle River faced Barrow in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Wolves blew past the Whalers 42-0. The victory continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Whalers: they've now won three in a row.

A big part of Eagle River's win came down to the chemistry between Brody Wetzel and his top target David Shipley. Wetzel rushed for 29 yards and a pair of touchdowns while Shipley gained 71 total yards and a touchdown.

Eagle River's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Wyatt Tucker, Bryce Delozier, and Cameron Lucas, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Eagle River now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Barrow, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.
