Softball Recap: WACO Comes Up Short

WACO was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Pekin Panthers, falling 10-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 12-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in June of 2025.

WACO's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Pekin, their win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-4.

Coming up, WACO will challenge Wapello at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pekin, they will square off against Highland at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
