Basketball Recap: Wando Takes a Loss

Wando was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a 52-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lucy Beckham Bengals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bengals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 67-61 two weeks ago.

Despite the defeat, Wando saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Sully Templeton posted nine points. Templeton is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Owen Schafer, who had 11 points.

Wando's record is now 4-20. As for Lucy Beckham, the win got them back to even at 10-10.

Looking ahead, Wando is taking a road trip to square off against Stratford at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Wando is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.2 points per game this season. As for Lucy Beckham, they will be playing at home against Berkeley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
