Basketball Recap: Bulls College Prep Comes Up Short

Bulls College Prep lost against Butler back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bulls College Prep Bulls took a blow against the Butler Lynx, falling 68-34. While losing is never fun, the Bulls can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 567th, while the Lynx are ranked 277th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Butler to victory, but perhaps none more so than Julius Hamlin Jr, who went 6 for 14 on his way to 19 points in addition to eight steals and five assists. Hamlin Jr is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 18 or more in the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamal Small, who went 7 of 12 on his way to 17 points along with eight steals and six boards.

Bulls College Prep has traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season. As for Butler, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-7.

Bulls College Prep will head out to take on Niles Notre Dame at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Butler, they will welcome Rowe-Clark at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
