Basketball Recap: Cedar Park Gets the Win

After losing to East Central the last time they met, Cedar Park decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Timberwolves skirted past the Hornets 69-67.

Despite the loss, East Central still got an impressive performance from Aiden Olivarez, who shot 71% from the field to rack up 21 points and six boards. The contest was Olivarez's fifth in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamel Wolford, who posted 11 points in addition to five assists and three steals.

Cedar Park has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points over those games. As for East Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-5.

Cedar Park has already played their next game, a 62-57 victory against Eastlake on the 13th. As for East Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 95-90 defeat against Glenn on the 13th.
