Petersburg faced Cordova in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Vikings fell just short of the Wolverines by a score of 1-0. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Petersburg's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Cordova, with the victory, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 14-5.

Petersburg wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 1-0 loss against Unalaska on the 10th. As for Cordova, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 1-0 win against Nenana on the 10th.
