Volleyball Recap: Channelview Comes Up Short

Channelview lost against Angleton back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Falcons fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 2-1. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Channelview lost, don't look at Vivian Arredondo. Despite the final result, she had 14 assists and eight digs. Arredondo is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 12 every time she's taken the court this season. Cambree Buckler also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Among those leading the charge was Addy Robertson, who had nine digs and one assist.

Channelview's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Angleton, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Channelview wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Klein Forest on the 28th. As for Angleton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Pasadena on the 28th.
