Baseball Recap: Evergreen Comes Up Short

Evergreen fell victim to Green Mountain and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 10-0 to the Rams. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-3 back in April.

This is the second loss in a row for Evergreen and nudges their season record down to 15-7-1. As for Green Mountain, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8-1 record this season.

Evergreen will square off against Holy Family at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight. As for Green Mountain, they are on the road again on Saturday to play Discovery Canyon at 10:00 a.m. The Rams' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Thunder have averaged an impressive 11.1 runs per game this season.
