Volleyball Recap: Colleton County Takes a Loss

Colleton County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 19th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Hilton Head Island Seahawks. If the Cougars were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Seahawks when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-8, 25-23.

Colleton County's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Hilton Head Island, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-13 record.

Colleton County and Hilton Head Island could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings. The Cougars (ranked 212th) will meet Bishop England (ranked 29th) at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Hilton Head Island will take on Beaufort at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (127 vs. 45).
